Sufra NW London

Sufra

Sufra NW London exists to prevent hunger, fight poverty, and build a united, resilient community across the London Borough of Brent. Taking a rights-based, holistic approach, the charity recognises that while food aid is a vital lifeline, it must be combined with long-term pathways from crisis to stability. Sufra delivers an integrated service that brings together food bank hubs, community kitchens, a café, and a community shop, alongside welfare advice, social activities, and an award-winning community garden. By actively amplifying lived experience and campaigning for fairer policies, Sufra works to reduce dependency on emergency aid, ensuring that guests can move forward with dignity and hope.

Our project

Food Aid Delivery Service

Supported by a three-year, £45,000 grant from the COSARAF Charitable Foundation, Sufra NW London is securing and expanding its vital Food Aid Delivery Service. This robust logistics network distributes freshly cooked meals, food bank parcels, and NHS emergency packs directly to Brent residents who are physically unable to access food in person. By targeting the most marginalised, including the housebound, the elderly, individuals with long-term health conditions, and patients recently discharged from hospital, this project ensures no one is left behind. COSARAF’s multi-year investment provides the critical infrastructure needed to safely deliver reliable nourishment, reduce isolation, and act as a gateway to holistic support for the community’s most vulnerable.
