Ramadan Tent Project

Who we are

Their Mission: Turning strangers into friends.

Ramadan Tent Project (RTP) strive to foster understanding and bring communities together by taking moral leadership and building bridges of solidarity and compassion.

Instilling the spirit of Islam all year round, their events are open to all faiths and none, aiming to soften hearts and minds and bring about good relations between people for a more harmonious society.

Throughout their events and programmes over the last decade, they’ve connected and convened people from all faith backgrounds and none. In the process, they’ve also been able to positively change perceptions and break down barriers about Islam and Ramadan.

Over 50% of guests who attended Open Iftar agreed that their knowledge of Ramadan had increased.

Over 50% of guests said that Open Iftar had given them an opportunity to meet with Muslims that they wouldn’t otherwise have had.

Our project

Open Iftar

COSARAF Foundation partnered with RTP to host the first ever COSARAF sponsored Open Iftar event at the V&A London in 2023.  This event saw over 450 guests break fast together in the beautiful Raphael room.

We continued this partnership in 2024, with a second COSARAF sponsored Open Iftar event held on 27th March at SOAS, University of London.  Over 250 guests were welcomed into the Atrium of Senate House and broke fast together.

We hope to host our third annual iftar event in 2025 with RTP, so please watch this space.
