Who we are

The Muslim Charities Forum (MCF) is the primary umbrella organisation representing and supporting the UK’s Muslim-led charitable sector. We are dedicated to building sector resilience through systemic advocacy, robust governance training, and operational excellence. By facilitating critical collaborations and providing strategic frameworks such as our digital infrastructure support and inclusive leadership networks, MCF empowers charities to overcome complex regulatory challenges and maximise their collective impact, both domestically and internationally.
Our project
Women’s Network
This partnership with the COSARAF Charitable Foundation directly supports our Governance & Women’s Network, a strategic initiative designed to drive inclusive leadership and structural resilience at the board level. The project provides targeted mentorship, operational training, and systemic advocacy resources to empower female leaders and grassroots champions within the sector.
With COSARAF’s vital support, we are equipping a new generation of charity leaders to confidently navigate regulatory landscapes and transform traditional governance, ensuring our sector remains dynamic, equitable, and highly effective.
CEO Fadi Itan OBE, said:
“We are deeply grateful to the COSARAF Charitable Foundation for investing in this important initiative and in the leadership potential of Muslim women across our sector. Strong, inclusive leadership is vital to the future of Muslim civil society, and this partnership will create opportunities for women to develop their leadership, strengthen networks and shape the organisations and communities they serve.
We hope COSARAF’s commitment will inspire other funders and philanthropists to invest in leadership, governance and talent. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive and resilient Muslim civil society for the future.”
