COSARAF Foundation is working in partnership with Prince’s Trust International, SEED Ventures, stakeholders and most importantly young people to provide entrepreneurial skills and business confidence throughout Pakistan.
The Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) partnership with the Cosaraf Foundation has introduced the new Sheikh Family Studentships designed to provide support to graduate students of Pakistani origin at Oxford.
The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Fellowship, provides young people aged 18 to 30, with an interest in self-employment, with the support and funding to help them explore and test their ideas. Foundation trustee Akbar Sheikh is honoured to have been appointed as an Enterprise Fellow. The Foundation is proud to be a Silver Patron of The Prince’s Trust.
The East Africa Character Development Trust‘s ground-breaking youth development programme in Kenya uses cricket as a powerful vehicle by which to develop the character traits essential for long-term success.
EACDT’s programme tackles the lack of ‘soft skills’ development within the educational system in Kenya, targeting children from Nairobi’s slum communities who are born into poverty and seldom ever alleviate themselves from its grasp and who are at most risk of being disenfranchised from their own society. EACDT aspires to help young people by developing their social and character-led capabilities. As a result, they should be better able to manage the extreme challenges of slum life and to support their advancement through education and employment, and ultimately, to elevate themselves from their historic deprivations.
Ghazipur Childrens Centre is an after school Educational Centre with the mission to provide children from low-income communities with a better-quality education, enabling them to maximise their potential and transform their lives. The project is located at the GHAZIPUR dairy farm Delhi.
COSARAF Foundation has supported the Naz Legacy Foundation’s Diversity Days.
Mosaic’s Secondary School Programme uses positive role models to improve students’ confidence, self-efficacy and employability. They have developed a powerful package of mentoring support for young people that can be tailored to students’ needs which includes group mentoring, workplace visits and inspirational speeches.
Youth Leads is an award-winning charity getting the voice of young people heard and acted upon. They run skills development programmes, publish Xplode Magazine and challenge decision makers. They believe in a country where youth leads.
Over Ramadan, a time when children, friends and family are so important, many will be in need or suffering. The Foundation has established a separate fund to enable a number of additional donations to be made to celebrate the holy month of Islam.
