Shanaz

Shanaz joined Cycle Sisters seeking a gentle way to rebuild her strength and confidence after facing multiple health challenges.

“At the time I joined I was going through a lot in my life. I had had a pacemaker fitted, diagnosed endometriosis, fibromyalgia and then chronic fatigue.   As I got fitter and stronger, I also felt free. Sometimes you feel like you’re flying – it’s such a powerful feeling to belong, to be moving forward, surrounded by women you trust.”

What started as a way to improve her health turned into something more. The women she met on those rides became close friends, and the shared experience of cycling adventures together – complete with coffee stops and laughter – was a true lifeline.

“The beginner group rides helped me so much, both mentally and physically. I can’t emphasise how grateful I am to the volunteer Ride Leaders who made that possible.  I would encourage any woman thinking about it to join without hesitation. We all need that little push sometimes – but what you gain is truly life-changing.”
