Hatcliffe Extension Charitable Trust (HECT) is a community-based organisation that supports vulnerable families. The Trust promotes Islamic values of compassion, generosity, and humanity through its work.
HECT is committed to raising awareness about the socio-economic challenges facing communities, especially the most vulnerable groups such as the elderly, child-headed families, AIDS orphans, and women. In a time of severe economic hardship, many families are struggling to afford basic necessities due to rising living costs and limited resources. In Zimbabwe, the need is desperate.
With the support of COSARAF Foundation, HECT implemented the Ramadan Aid Project to support families during the holy month of Ramadan, . Through this initiative, essential food packages were distributed to 350 vulnerable families in Zimbabwe.
The project helped ensure that recipients could observe Ramadan with dignity by providing nutritious meals to sustain them during fasting. This initiative reinforced the importance of solidarity, compassion and community support during difficult times.
Together, through collective action and care, we can continue to uplift and strengthen our communities.
