Mohammed Yahya Mahmed Sidyot
Through the Sheikh Family Scholarships Programme, I pursued postgraduate study and have recently submitted my dissertation, which explores the teaching of Hadith and Fiqh within UK Darul Ulooms.
Alongside my studies, I am involved in several educational, community and entrepreneurial initiatives. I help lead the LINCS Project, a community organisation focused on bringing people together through youth activities, educational programmes, pastoral support and brotherhood and sisterhood gatherings.
I am also developing Ummah Care, a platform designed to connect Muslims with verified, faith-sensitive practitioners and support services. In addition, I am a director of Fragrance Forte, where I have gained valuable experience in business development, leadership and building a growing fragrance company.
My wider work includes delivering Friday khutbahs, managing educational projects and supporting charitable initiatives. I have also been involved in humanitarian work with Ummah Welfare Trust in Syria.
I am grateful for the support of the scholarship programme, which has helped me develop academically while continuing to serve my community and pursue projects that create meaningful opportunities for others.
