The news
We are proud to announce a new partnership between the COSARAF Foundation and the Bengal Dragons Foundation, with COSARAF awarding a £3,100 grant to support inclusive youth sport in Wales.
This grant will fund the entry of 12 youth football teams from the Bengal Dragons Foundation into the Fun Football Inclusive Tournament, taking place on 8th June 2025 at Liberty Stadium in Swansea. The initiative will directly benefit 80 primary school-aged children of South Asian heritage from across South Wales, enabling them to take part in a high-profile sporting event designed to promote inclusion, confidence, and aspiration through football.
The COSARAF Foundation’s funding will cover:
- COSARAF-branded football kits for all participants
- Modest activewear for girls
- Sports and football equipment
- Transport for all teams travelling to the tournament from across South Wales
This initiative sits at the heart of our mission to support marginalised communities and create opportunities for young people to thrive—both on and off the pitch.
In addition, the COSARAF Foundation will be represented at the Bengal Dragons Foundation’s upcoming event at the Senedd on 21st May, which celebrates the contributions of Welsh Muslims.
The Bengal Dragons Foundation is a youth-led charity that provides sports and educational opportunities to underrepresented communities. Their work in developing grassroots football, especially for South Asian girls and boys, is helping to address barriers to participation and representation within UK sport.
We look forward to seeing these young athletes shine at the tournament,
