Noor Memorial Trust Hospital Boost for Building Work

We are pleased to be supporting our partner, The Noor Project, as they continue their building work for their Noor Memorial Trust Hospital in Pakistan.

We are pleased to be supporting our partner, The Noor Project, as they continue their building work for their Noor Memorial Trust Hospital.  The Cosaraf Foundation has committed $50,000 to ensure building work for this vital resource for the communities served by The Noor Project.

The Noor Project currently delivers a wide range of services to the locals in rural Lahore with a mission to equip impoverished communities with the tools to escape poverty and become self-sustainable.

They are presently running Feeding Centres, Food bank, Water Filtration Plants, a state of art School, Vocational Program, a Girl’s Home (orphanage), a Health clinic with Pharmacy, a Dental Clinic, Izat ki Roti Program, Legal Aid Cell and Microcredit Program within their premises.

Currently, the on-site clinic and pharmacy under The Noor Project is out of capacity to deal with most of its beneficiaries’ medical problems. Thus, many have to be referred to other hospitals, which, unfortunately they cannot afford and are therefore unable to access appropriate treatment.

As a response to this problem, The Noor Project is constructing a 57,000 sq. ft, 60 bed, 7-floor state-of-the-art hospital in Khaliqabad, Pakistan. The goal of this hospital is to provide complete treatment and quality medical facilities to their beneficiaries who cannot afford other hospitals.

Their health programme will be able to support over twenty departments and will treat many health issues.  These will comprise of:

  • General medical and family practice
  • 24/7 emergency services
  • Basic Medical Imaging and Lab (with Blood Bank and Phlebotomy Services)
  • General Surgery and Operating Rooms
  • Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Psychiatry
  • Cardiology, Urology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases
  • Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Orthopaedics and ENT Clinic

The Construction of the Noor Memorial Trust Hospital started this summer and the grey structure will be complete in Spring 2023.  The interior is estimated to be completed by autumn 2023.  The equipment and furniture will be installed and completed for the grand opening in late Spring 2024.

We are proud to be supporting such an important service with our esteemed partner.
