Sustainable Water for Kasangati

The news

With a grant of £2,250, SWIHA Charity Foundation, successfully implemented a water well project in the community of Kasangati Village in Uganda. The funds were utilised for the construction, installation, and commissioning of the water well, which
has brought relief to the community members and an Orphanage center who previously faced severe water scarcity.

The water well project directly benefits over 500 people, the residents, particularly children, and vulnerable populations. It provides them with access to clean and safe drinking water, significantly improving their health, sanitation practices, and overall quality of life.

Testimonial

“We would like to express our sincere appreciation to COSARAF Foundation for the collaboration and support extended to our organisation. The funding provided has made a significant impact on the lives of the community members, addressing a crucial need”

The impact

As a result of the support provided by our Foundation, SWIHA have witnessed several positive outcomes. The availability of clean water has reduced waterborne diseases and related health issues within this community. Children, who previously spent hours fetching water from distant sources, now have more time to engage in education and other productive activities.  Additionally, the overall well-being and livelihoods of the community members have improved, instilling a sense of hope and empowerment.

We’re pleased to have supported this organisation in building sustainability in a rural and deprived area of Uganda, with such a vital resource.
