Foundation trustees support British Asian Trust Ramadan Appeal

The Foundation’s trustees joined high-profile guests at the British Asian Trust’s prestigious iftar celebrations at Kensington Palace and Manchester Hilton to support the Trust’s #ChangeMinds Ramadan Appeal.  The #ChangeMinds campaign highlights the British Asian Trust’s new Mental Health and Wellbeing programme in Pakistan.  Thanks to the support of the COSARAF Foundation, in partnership with the CareTech Foundation, every pound raised through the campaign was doubled.

The Iftars were attended by high-profile guests including Pakistani actor Sanam Saeed, music producer Naughty Boy, DJ Neev Spencer, radio presenter Noreen Khan, Rehman Chishti MP, Rushanara Ali MP, Afzal Khan MP and Amjad Bashir MEP, the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester Dr Robina Shah MBE, actor Nitin Ganatra, and cricketer Shoaib Malik who was keynote speaker at one of the events.

The British Asian Trust is doing vital work in a region where the situation is very complex and tens of millions suffer in silence from mental health issues. We’re very proud to be underpinning the work of the British Asian Trust in matching the funds they raise throughout this appeal, and helping the charity support the most vulnerable people across South Asia.
