Foundation launches new Hardship Grants scheme

The Foundation has today launched a new Hardship Grant Fund to support those in need.  The Fund, which will provide grants of up to £5000 to individuals facing significant hardship, is a key plank of the Foundation’s new strategy to deliver greater impact to those most in need in society.

High-Quality Educational Provision

The Hardship Grant Fund [add link] is intended to support individuals facing significant hardship.  The trustees are particularly keen to ensure that the Fund helps

  • those in financial difficulty;
  • those affected by disasters and conflict;
  • the most vulnerable in society;
  • the sick and elderly; and,
  • widows and orphans.

Jonathan Freeman, interim CEO of the Foundation, commented:

This new Fund provides an exciting new step forward in the Foundation’s determination to support the most vulnerable in society, from whatever background, and demonstrates the trustees’ passionate commitment to social justice.
