“Whoever feeds a fasting person will have reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his reward”
Tirmidhi

India has approximately 180 million Muslims, making it the second largest Muslim populated country in the world. The Muslim minority forms large parts of the rural population in Madurai. Most of the families depend on agriculture labour and livestock farming. It is a very difficult life for rural Muslim families living in poverty. They struggle to get their daily meals and basic needs.

The COSARAF Foundation grant enabled many families, during the month of Ramadan, to have good food for Suhoor and Iftar. Join Hands Trust distributed 160 food packs to families (623 individuals) from the Thiruppalai and Panaikulam villages.

“I am 60 years old and live alone in the village of Thiruppalai. My son and daughter are married and live each for themselves. On Ramadan days I depend on my neighbours who lend me food for Suhur and Iftar. But this year, thanks to the Cosaraf Foundation, I have enough food and am happy to fast in Ramadan. May Allah bless the Join Hands Trust in the years to come"
