The COSARAF Foundation’s Ramadan Fund continues it’s annual support in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, with food parcels distributed to 250 poor Muslim families through our valued partner the Join Hands Trust.
Over Ramadan, a time when children, friends and family are so important, many will be in need or suffering.
The Foundation has established a separate fund to enable a number of additional donations to be made to celebrate the holy month of Islam.

£35,000 fund awarded to our flagship partner, the Fahmida Begum Foundation (FBF), to provide 1,025 vital Ramadan food parcels to the needy in Mehran, Karachi, Pakistan.
Carers Worldwide received a grant of £4,699 from the COSARAF Foundation to support disabled children and their family carers living in Savar sub-district on the outskirts of Dhaka, during Ramadan 2022.
We were pleased to be able to support a new partner delivering a Ramadan food programme this year in Bangladesh, the Nabiganj Darul Ulum Madrasha and Orphan Centre.
The Shamakha Foundation have long been partners with the COSARAF Foundation, delivering essential daily feeding programmes to poverty stricken communities in rural, coastal Kenya. Annually, we fund them to provide food packages to families during Ramadan and this year, Eid meals were also provided.
Mehran Welfare Trust became new partners for our Ramadan Fund this year, distributing ‘food buckets’ with essential items for the holy month to 500 families.
Our loyal partners, the Hatcliffe Extension Charitable Trust, have supported Muslim families living in hardship in Zimbabwe, with Ramadan food hampers and providing Iftar meals at local mosques.
We welcomed a new partner, SWIHA Charity Foundation, supporting their sustainable water project in Uganda this Ramadan.
The COSARAF Foundation provides Hardship Grants to individuals in genuine financial need. Applicants apply to the Fund for support which covers a breadth of reasons for which they are in need.
