The support from the COSARAF Foundation funds ongoing running costs and has provided the equipment needed to set up SMART Classrooms, amongst many other building upgrades.

As a result of funding, Ghazipur Childrens Centre has made a move to e-learning (a necessity during the Pandemic). They have purchased smart phones and now deliver a blended model of learning, through online and face-to-face.  The online classes have allowed them to have experts from other countries deliver e-lessons virtually to the students.

The blended learning model has accelerated learning and engaged the student in extraordinary ways. This has empowered children attending Ghazipur Childrens Centre to pass exams, achieve higher grades. Leading to more confidence, self-esteem, a better self-image.

"Our wider objective, vision passion at Ghazipur Childrens Centre is that these forgotten children living at the edge of our society break though the cycle of poverty find their voice become autonomous and create a brighter future for themselves. The time for this dream we believe has come. Providing opportunities for expressing their potential.  That is our hope and vision with a partnership and support from COSARAF."

As a result of funding from the COSARAF Foundation, Ghazipur Childrens Centre has achieved an increase in the number of teachers.  They have also expanded their E Learning programme and the ripple effect has allowed them to attract additional funding from other donors.

The students and the alumni are now benefiting from enhanced digital skills like creating PPT, short videos and participation in Zoom classes. This has led to collaboration between teachers and trainers from the U.K. with their students and team.

As a result of funding from COSARAF, we have moved forward in leaps and bounds. Our E-Learning has now become a hybrid model. We moved from a ramshackle centre to an upgraded facility in 2018 with COSARAF. Now, once again, we are moving to a modern purpose-built centre with the support of COSARAF. The ripple effect of the funding has been that we are improving in all areas (teaching, staff training, better resources) providing more opportunities.
