Supporting Young Pakistanis into Employment with the Hunar Foundation

The Cosaraf Foundation’s Pakistan partner, the Fahmida Begum Foundation, grant to the Hunar Foundation sets up five young women in the beauty industry and beyond.

The Hunar Foundation has been supported by our lead Pakistan partner, the Fahmida Begum Foundation, with a grant to empower the marginalised youth of Pakistan with employable skills.  This funding enabled the Hunar Foundation to market the specific course ‘Certificate in Beauty Services’ to potential young candidates, recruiting the ideal trainees for the programme.

In total, five students were enrolled in the project.  All of the students have completed their training, appeared in the QAB examination and are extremely competent and skilled as a result. Currently three of the graduates are economically engaged and earning between 10,000 to 15,000 PKR per month and supporting their families.  The remaining two graduates have decided to pursue careers in other fields and the Hunar Foundation is actively working with them to support these students into further employment.
