Supporting Hertfordshire Community Foundation’s Children’s Fund

During Ramadan 2019 the COSARAF Foundation was pleased to make a donation to the Hertfordshire Community Foundation’s Children’s Fund.  Almost one year on the Foundation is pleased to see the difference our grant has made to people’s lives locally.

The Children’s Fund has been providing effective, practical support to disadvantaged children (aged 0-16) and their families in Hertfordshire by providing grants of up to £300 for essential items such as washing machines, cookers and beds to ensure they can keep their children healthy, safe and clean. Domestic violence, poor mental health and in-work poverty are common challenges facing the families supported by these grants.

Thanks to the support of the COSARAF Charitable Foundation grants have been awarded to 17 local families in crisis. Grants have been used to purchase:

• 7 washing machines
• 5 children’s beds
• 4 fridge/freezers
• 4 pushchairs
• 2 cookers
• 1 child’s car seat

“I am so grateful, really grateful and the boys are grateful too because they love their beds.”
