Keeping the Culture Alive with Herts Welcomes Refugees

The COSARAF Foundation are pleased to be supporting Herts Welcome Refugees with their Arabic School for children in St Albans for a further six months.

Herts Welcomes Refugees provides a range of assistance and support to refugees and asylum seekers across the county of Hertfordshire to complement that provided by local councils and the Refugee Council’s Hertfordshire Resettlement Project but also to help those refugees and asylum seekers who are completely isolated.

COSARAF Foundation have supported the organisation to deliver an Arabic Language School to Arabic speaking refugee children to keep their heritage language alive and to allow ladies in the local community to start a career as teachers and to be more confident to run their own business in the future, by volunteering at the school, for a number of years now.

The school has been a huge success and the COSARAF Foundation are pleased continue their support of it, with a donation to allow the school to run for a further six months.
